Having trouble with Teslog? Find answers to common questions below, or reach out to our team directly.

Before reaching out: Most issues can be resolved by ensuring your TeslaMate instance is running, accessible from your network, and that you're using the correct API URL and credentials in the app.

Getting Started

Teslog connects to your self-hosted TeslaMate instance to display your Tesla vehicle data. To get started:

  1. Make sure you have a running TeslaMate instance with the TeslaMate API endpoint accessible
  2. Download Teslog from the App Store and sign in with your Apple or Google account
  3. Enter your TeslaMate server URL and credentials in the app settings
  4. Your Tesla data will appear once the connection is established

Common Issues

I can't connect to my TeslaMate server
Make sure your TeslaMate instance is running and the API endpoint is reachable from your device's network. If you're connecting remotely, ensure port forwarding or a reverse proxy (e.g., Nginx, Caddy) is properly configured. Double-check the URL format — it should include the protocol (e.g., https://teslamate.example.com).
My data isn't updating or appears stale
Teslog fetches data directly from your TeslaMate server. If data appears stale, verify that TeslaMate is actively receiving data from the Tesla API. Check your TeslaMate dashboard (Grafana) to confirm it's logging new data. You can also try pulling to refresh in the app.
Sign in with Apple / Google isn't working
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. For Sign in with Apple, make sure you're signed in to your Apple ID in Settings. For Google Sign-In, ensure the Google app or Chrome is installed. If the issue persists, try restarting the app and your device.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request account deletion by contacting us at info@teslog.us. All associated account data (user identifier, configuration, encrypted credentials) will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. Your Tesla data is never stored on our servers, so there's nothing to delete on our end.
Is my Tesla data stored on your servers?
No. Teslog never stores, transmits, or processes your Tesla vehicle data on our servers. All data flows directly between your device and your self-hosted TeslaMate instance. We only store the minimum account information needed for authentication and syncing your app configuration. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
